Stellenbosch is a fast growing town in the Western Cape. The popular University has brought on the need for student accommodation which created a scenario where existing dwellings are demolished and blocks of student accommodations are built. This together with the growth in local business created a need for the upgrade of infrastructure in Stellenbosch. The Merriman Sewer is one of many upgrade projects in the ageing infrastructure of Stellenbosch.
