Capespan Farms committed to finance and implement an additional 114 hectares of table grapes and supply water to its existing 360 ha. In order to supply irrigation water to the expansions of the farm a pipeline is needed to run from a newly constructed pump station on the Orange River to a storage dam more that 6km away on the NGC Aussenkehr farm. After a number of analysis were done, to determine what characteristics would best limit friction losses. It was decided by the Engineer that FLOWTITE™ was the pipe of choice, optimizing performance through a combination of DN800 PN20 and DN800 PN16 FLOWTITE™ pipes.
