In 2018 the Western Cape experienced the largest drought in decades and finding an alternative water supply directed the municipalities to look at the aquifer’s for an additional water source for the Saldanha Municipality. The pipeline will transport water from the boreholes and
connect into the existing bulk water pipeline that comes from the Withoogte water treatment works. This project will supplement the augmentation of water to the West Coast Region in and around Saldanha. Quick delivery and manufacturing times of GRP Pipe was the largest advantage in using Flowtite GRP Pipes.
